Glo-powered African Voices compilation edition features Seyi Shedams, 2 others
Viewers have a wonderful opportunity of either refreshing their memories or catching up with any of the three episodes of African Voices Changemakers earlier broadcast as the compilation series takes the air this weekend.
Nigeria’s Seyi Shedams Olusore, an entrepreneur who is the brain behind Nigeria’s first weight loss reality television show, ‘FaSttest Shedder’ leads two other professionals Ghana’s Laud Komadu, dancer, choreographer and co-founder of the Dance with a Purpose Academy, and Jose Peffer of the Waves for Change Initiative who coaches and mentors budding surfers in his native South Africa.
Olusore, a graduate of Computer Engineering from Covenant University, Nigeria, is in love with the fitness and wellbeing of individuals leading him to establish Shedams Fitness. The fitness and wellness coach and author, subsequently developed the concept for the first Nigerian weight loss reality television show aimed at helping overweight individuals get acquainted with body exercises and balanced nutrition to attain and maintain good body weight and posture.
Komadu, 27, born and raised in Ghana, is co-founder of both the Dance with a Purpose Academy and the Rocc Starss Dance Academy. He started sharing videos of his choreographed dance routines in 2016 through his Instagram handle consequent on which he gained traction with over 600,000 followers.
Komadu gained more popularity and attention when he got representation from the dance management company Lite Up Q17 Dynasty which made him a household name. Komadu is also reputed for being one of the five members of the dance group Living with the Rhockstars.
The third guest on the programme, Peffer, mentors budding surfers in South Africa through the Waves for Change Initiative which combines the passion for surfing with evidence-based mind and body therapy as prerequisites for achieving child-friendly mental health services to over 1,600 children in under-resourced areas of his country.
Globacom encourages viewers to catch the African Voices Changemakers compilation edition on CNN on Channel 401 on DSTV on Saturday at 12.30 p.m., 5.30 p.m. and 8.30 p.m. Other repeat broadcasts come up on Sunday at 5.00 a.m., 9.30 a.m. and 8.30 p.m., with more repeats on Monday and Tuesday at 5.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. respectively.
