Four Suspected Thugs Nabbed For Allegedly Causing Mayhem At Motor Park In Ogun
Four suspected persons in connection with the violence that occurred at Ijebu -Igbo park has been arrested by the men of Ogun State police.
The spokesman of the command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi in a press statement explained that the hoodlums were amongst those who attacked the motor parks.
The suspects, Kabiru Kazeem, Abiodun Yusuf, Adewale Adesina and Busayo Adesanya were arrested following a distress call received by the DPO Ijebu-Igbo division that some people armed with dangerous weapons have invaded the motor parks and attacking people as well as destroying vehicles and other valuables within the park.
Oyeyemi added that, upon the distress call, the DPO, SP Kazeem Solotan mobilized his men and raced to the scene.
According to him, on getting to the scene, it was discovered that the hoodlums have seriously injured one person and destroyed about 25 vehicles at the park.
The spokesman therefore submitted that, the thugs were dislodged by the police which led to the arrest of the suspects, while the injured person was taken to a hospital for medical attention.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson has directed that the arrested hoodlums be transferred to the State criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
Ebrimson also ordered that those who are directly or indirectly involved in the pandemonium must be hunted for and brought to book.
The CP therefore warned that anybody who chose violence as a means of settling any issue in the State will have the Command to contend with as such action will not be tolerated under his watch.
