The Ogun State governor, prince Dapo Abiodun has said that he will ban Okada-riders in the state if they continue to flout lockdown rules.
He also maintained that he has observed that the okada operators are not obeying all the rules laid down by the state government as part of efforts to fight coronavirus pandemic.
Abiodun made this known during a press conference at the governor’s office, Okemosan , Abeokuta, Ogun State.
He said,” I will not hesistate to ban all Okada-Riders in the state, if they continue to flout government’s directives on the use of face masks. I have discovered that most of them do not make use of face masks and this is not proper, If they continue disobeying the lockdown rules, we will ban them and they will not exit in the state. he concluded.
He however said that he will arrest any okada riders carrying more than one passengers or not using face masks.
The governor also said that he will arrest passengers if they fail to make use face masks.
