BUA Group Shareholders to Receive N842.64 Billion Dividend Amid Strong Earnings Growth
Shareholders of BUA Group are set to receive a total dividend payout of N842.64 billion, reflecting the company’s strong financial performance and commitment to rewarding investors.
The dividend distribution follows impressive earnings recorded across the group’s major subsidiaries, particularly BUA Foods Plc, which posted significant revenue growth and increased profitability for the 2025 financial year.
BUA Foods recorded revenue of N1.77 trillion, representing notable growth compared to the previous year, while profit after tax rose sharply to over N518 billion.
As part of its shareholder reward strategy, the company proposed a dividend of N28 per share, marking a substantial increase from the previous payout.
A significant portion of the N842.64 billion total dividend is expected to come from BUA Foods, subject to approval at its Annual General Meeting.
Market analysts say the large payout underscores BUA Group’s strong position across key sectors, including cement, sugar, and food processing, reinforcing its status as one of Nigeria’s leading conglomerates.
Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu attributed the performance to sustained demand, strategic expansion, and improved operational efficiency, noting that the group remains focused on delivering long-term value to shareholders.
The dividend payout is expected to boost investor confidence in Nigeria’s capital market and attract more participation in equities trading.
