APC Accuses Makinde of Incitement, Labels Him a Threat to National Security

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly criticised Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, accusing him of making statements capable of inciting unrest among Nigerians.
In a statement issued by the party, the APC alleged that Makinde’s recent comments could undermine national unity and stability. The ruling party described the governor’s remarks as reckless and warned that such utterances may pose a serious threat to national security.
The party further stated that public office holders must exercise caution in their speeches, especially in a politically sensitive environment. According to the APC, leaders are expected to promote peace and cohesion rather than fuel tensions.
Reacting to Makinde’s position on national issues, the APC insisted that his comments were inappropriate and could mislead the public. The party urged security agencies to remain vigilant and ensure that no individual incites disorder in the country.
However, there has been no official response from Governor Makinde regarding the allegations at the time of this report.
Political observers say the exchange reflects growing tensions between opposition figures and the ruling party ahead of future elections.
