Oyo APC Constitutes Reconciliation Committee to Foster Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has inaugurated a reconciliation committee to address grievances arising from its recently concluded party primaries and strengthen unity ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The committee is made up of respected party elders, former public office holders, and influential stakeholders charged with reconciling aggrieved aspirants and members dissatisfied with the outcome of the primaries.
Among those appointed are Senators Olufemi Lanlehin, Brimo Yusuf, and Hosea Agboola, former state chairman Chief Akin Oke, former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Prof. Afolabi Oladapo, Chief Yekini Adeojo, Olukemi Alao-Akala, and other notable leaders within the party.
The committee officially begins its assignment following its inauguration by the Oyo APC Chairman, Moses Adeyemo. Members are expected to engage dissatisfied party members and stakeholders across the state in a bid to resolve disputes, promote reconciliation, and rebuild confidence within the party.
The reconciliation effort forms part of the APC’s broader strategy to consolidate its ranks and present a united front as preparations gather momentum for the 2027 governorship and other elections in Oyo State.
The move comes after the emergence of Senator Sharafadeen Alli as the party’s governorship candidate, with party leaders urging members to set aside their differences and work together to secure victory in the next general election.
