Ndoma-Egba Endorses Oyebanji for Second Term Ahead of Ekiti Governorship Election
Former Senate Leader and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba (SAN), has thrown his weight behind the re-election bid of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, expressing confidence that the governor will emerge victorious in the forthcoming governorship election.
Ndoma-Egba stated that Governor Oyebanji has demonstrated purposeful leadership and delivered impactful governance since assuming office, earning the trust and support of many residents across the state. According to him, the governor’s achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and economic development have positioned him as the preferred candidate for another term.
The former Senate Leader noted that continuity in governance would enable the completion of ongoing projects and deepen the developmental initiatives already being implemented across Ekiti State. He added that his engagements in the state through his role at FUOYE have provided him with firsthand knowledge of the administration’s commitment to progress and inclusive governance.
Ndoma-Egba also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, political parties, and voters to ensure that the election is conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and credible manner. He stressed the importance of safeguarding democracy by allowing the people to freely choose their leaders without intimidation or violence.
He further urged residents of the state to maintain peace before, during, and after the election, emphasizing that the democratic process should strengthen unity and development rather than create divisions.
His endorsement comes as political activities intensify ahead of the governorship poll, with stakeholders closely monitoring developments in what is expected to be a keenly contested election.
