Nigeria’s ruling All Pr

ogressives Congress (APC) has clarified payment procedures for aspirants ahead of the 2027 general elections by unveiling designated banks for nomination and expression of interest forms.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially announced the approved banks for payment of nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2027 elections, putting an end to uncertainty among party aspirants.
According to the party, all payments are to be made through three designated financial institutions: Union Bank of Nigeria, United Bank for Africa (UBA), and Zenith Bank.
The clarification follows the commencement of the sale of nomination forms, which had earlier generated confusion due to the absence of clearly defined payment channels.
The party directed aspirants to remit payments directly into its official accounts domiciled in the approved banks, stressing that the process is designed to ensure transparency and proper documentation.
This development forms part of the APC’s broader timetable for the 2027 elections, which includes key stages such as the sale and submission of forms, screening of aspirants, and the conduct of party primaries.
The party also emphasized the need for strict compliance with its internal guidelines and existing electoral regulations, noting that the structured payment system is intended to promote accountability throughout the nomination process.
The announcement is expected to streamline the nomination process, reduce confusion among aspirants, and strengthen preparations as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
