Following the crisis that has caused Factions and fallen out of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde is presently in a state of confusion on choosing a political platform for his 2023 re-election bid.
Findings revealed that the Governor is currently in dilemma whether to leave the PDP and decamp to the All Progressives Congress in the state.
Makinde’s dilemma is unconnected to crisis in PDP which has made things gone sour for him.
Findings revealed that, the PDP stakeholders do not agree with his system of administration and the way he is running the party.
It was further gathered that the PDP leaders have left him, they believe the governor is not a PDP member from the beginning. He was alleged not to be using PDP ideology to run his government.
Meanwhile, in recent times, it was learnt that the stakeholders of the APC where Makinde is planning to decamp to are seriously working on him becoming a member.
It was however gathered that the APC Makinde is planning to go, there are powerful like the former governor, Alao Akala who is the present leader of APC in Oyo.
It was learnt that the APC Makinde is planning to go, there is rumour that he will be denied ticket because he is not popular like before.
Findings also revealed that many of those that formed coalition for his emergence has abandoned him and went to another party.
All his political godfather has fought with him, that is why he said he does not have any party he can easily go to clinch his second term ticket.
