A former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Adijat Adeleye, has formally declared her intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
Adeleye, who is seeking the position on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made her declaration during a gathering of party executives, grassroots mobilisers, youth groups, and key stakeholders at Ajuwon/Akute Ward 6 in Ifo Local Government Area.
Addressing party faithful, the former lawmaker said her decision to declare at the ward level reflects her deep-rooted connection with the people and her commitment to grassroots politics. She described the moment as the beginning of a renewed vision driven by collective aspiration for progress and purposeful leadership.
Adeleye emphasized that her ambition is anchored on service, experience, and a genuine desire to make meaningful impact, noting that her decision to join the race is not driven by personal gain but by a sense of responsibility to her constituents.
She further outlined her key priorities, which include economic empowerment and job creation, stressing that improving livelihoods and creating sustainable opportunities for residents of the constituency would remain central to her legislative agenda if elected.
The declaration marks a significant step in the build-up to the 2027 elections in Ogun State, as political activities gradually gather momentum across the state.
