Tony Bellew Predicts Anthony Joshua Knockout Victory Over Tyson Fury
Former world cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew has predicted that Anthony Joshua could knock out long-time rival Tyson Fury in their proposed heavyweight showdown later this year.
Bellew said he strongly believes the long-anticipated all-British clash will not last the full 12 rounds due to the knockout power both fighters possess.
According to Bellew, the fight is almost certain to produce a stoppage, regardless of who eventually emerges victorious.
“The only thing that I can fully commit to is that it ain’t going the distance,” Bellew reportedly said while discussing the potential mega-fight.
Although the former world champion stopped short of making a definitive winner prediction, he explained that Joshua’s aggressive approach and punching power could prove decisive against Fury.
Bellew noted that if Joshua attacks early and lets his hands go freely, the former unified heavyweight champion has the ability to stop any opponent in the division.
He added that Joshua remains one of the hardest punchers in heavyweight boxing and could overwhelm Fury if he fights with confidence and intensity.
The proposed showdown between Joshua and Fury has dominated boxing discussions for years, with negotiations previously collapsing on multiple occasions.
Reports suggest both camps are now moving closer to finalising terms for a blockbuster “Battle of Britain” clash later in 2026.
Before the potential superfight, Joshua is expected to return to action in Saudi Arabia, while Fury could also take part in a tune-up bout before the two British heavyweights finally collide.
The anticipated contest is already being described as one of the biggest fights in British boxing history, with fans eagerly awaiting an official announcement.
