Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo has congratulated the Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi on his conferment of the national honour by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This was contained in a statement signed by the ex-lawmaker, Tola Banjo described the honour done on the revered Royal Father as worthwhile.
Extolling the virtues of the monarch, the Ijebu-ode born politician described him as a strong advocate of peace and unity, adding that the traditional ruler has sustained his passion for the advancement of his domain, Ogun state and Nigeria in general.
“ Kabiyesi, as you receive this rewarding national honour, I pray that God will continue to preserve you in good health and grant you strength to render more service to the country,” he said.
The Akarigbo of Remoland Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi was conferred with the National title of Commander of the order of the Federal Republic (CFR)
Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo also sent his congratulations to Quintessential Business magnate, Sir Kensington Adebutu and his son, the Managing Director of JB Farms, Ajibola Adebutu over the honour done on them by the Federal government.
The duo of Sir Adebutu Kessington and Ajibola Adebutu were conferred with Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) and Member of Order if Niger (MON) respectively.
Hon. Banjo noted that the Adebutu’s wealth of experience in the Private Sector, plugging the gap of unemployment and poverty eradication has helped contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of Nigeria.
The JB Farms numerous contributions to the economy, especially in agro-industrial development, employment generation among others and the various business interests of Baba Kessington Adebutu coupled with his philanthropy gestures has become a trademark of the Adebutu Dynasty.
He also congratulated popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Omogbolahan Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 the ultimate who was decorated with the rank of MON (Member of the Order of the Niger), calling on recipients to see the award as a call to greater service towards the realization of a better Nigeria starting from their immediate communities.
