Once a close associate of former Lagos NURTW chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo), Atawewe had distanced himself after refusing to support Oluomo’s divisive style of leadership. He publicly thanked Sego for bridging divides and pledged to continue visiting Oshodi because of the enduring love and loyalty of the people.
