“The year 2020 can never be forgotten in the history of Oja’ba in particular, Ibadan in general and Oyo State as a whole. The death of the immediate past Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi on Thursday, June 25 is one death too many at this crucial period in our political space.
This was the submission of former President of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), and former National Treasurer of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Alhaja Fatimah Abdulkareem in a condolence message.
According to Alhaja Fatimah Senator, Ajimobi made his own contributions to the development of Oyo state and the advancement of Democracy in the country.
“God knows why He took him now though we wanted him around for a longer period of time. May the good Lord protect his widow, Mrs Florence Ajimobi and all the children and grandchildren he left behind.
“I want to urge the children to uphold the legacy that their father upheld in his lifetime. Almighty Allah will forgive his sins and grant him Aljannah firdaus.
I commiserate with all the good people of Ibadanland, Oyo State and the entire Yorubaland over this irreparable loss.
