President Bola Tinubu gives hints on Subsidy removal

The 16th President and Commander-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was on Monday morning inaugurated in the capital city of Abuja, declaring that Nigeria shall no longer subsidise fuel.
President Tinubu, In his inaugural speech today, declared that: “Fuel Subsidy is gone.”
He said the funds for fuel subsidy shall be re-channelled towards other projects.
In his words: “Subsidy can no longer justify the ever increasing cost. We will re-channel the fund to better things like infrastructure, health care.”
Besides, President Tinubu allayed the fears of all Nigerians, particularly his opponents on the thrust of his administration, declaring that: “I will govern you, I will never rule over you
He said, “Our administration will govern you on your behalf . I will never rule over you. We shall consult and dialogue but never dictate. We shall raise up but never pull down a single person. We shall to further the nation and not tear and injure it.”
