Open Letter : Request for Accountability on Federal Allocation allotted to Odeda L.G.A in the last 2 years
To the Chairman, Odeda Local Government Area, Folashade Adeyemo, on behalf of the good people of Odeda Local Government Area, I brings to you greetings as you pilot the affairs of our dear L.G.A, Odeda.
Having followed the vetuperations and counter arguments that greeted the recent revelation by one of your colleagues, Hon. Wale Adedayo, the erstwhile Chairman of Ijebu North East Local Government Area on the alleged Diversion of funds meants for the Local Government Administration across the 20 LGAs in the state by the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the swift response from nineteen other members of ALGON including yourself where you all apologized for what you termed as the transgression of your colleague and attested to the fact that you truly received sizeable allocation meant for the LGAs from the Joint account allocation committee JAAC as posited by the governor and members of the Committee which till date, you have not denied.
Based on the above, I would like you to please come out and tell the entire people of Odeda LGA how much has been allotted to Odeda in the last two years of your administration and breakdown of how the said amount was expended vis a vis on which projects.
You are expected to respond to the request on the pages of a daily Newspaper or any other means you deem fit within the next 48hours and failure to do so will attract the following actions
1. A Petition to Anti-graft Agencies
2. Petition to the State House of Assembly with the view to demand proper and extensive investigations into the financial state of the Local Government
3. Massive but peaceful protest to your office and on the street of Odeda.
