Ogun Central 2027: Dr. Olamide Talabi-Davies Calls for Inclusive Leadership and Competent Representation

As political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, senatorial aspirant Hon. Dr. Olamide Talabi-Davies has called for a new era of inclusive governance in Ogun Central Senatorial District, urging leaders to prioritize competence, fairness, and visionary leadership in their political choices.
Dr. Talabi-Davies emphasized that governance must reflect unity and inclusiveness, insisting that Ogun State belongs to all its people and not any select group or section. She stressed the need to open up political space for individuals with capacity, experience, and genuine commitment to contribute meaningfully to development, especially in Ogun Central. According to her, stronger and more effective representation at the National Assembly is long overdue for the district.
The aspirant made a passionate appeal to political leaders, stakeholders, and the electorate in Ogun Central to make informed and responsible choices ahead of the 2027 elections, urging a shift away from sentiment-based politics toward leadership grounded in competence, vision, and service delivery.
“As leaders and stakeholders, we must choose right for Ogun Central. We need change, and we deserve the very best. Our people deserve competent hands who have real value to offer—not passive participants, but active contributors. We need visionary leadership that can truly move Ogun Central forward,” she stated.
Dr. Talabi-Davies highlighted her broad governance experience, noting her service in public administration roles in the United States, including multiple commissioner-level appointments. She explained that her political journey began at the grassroots level in the U.S. local government system, before rising to serve as Secretary-General of an APC chapter in the diaspora. She added that her continuous involvement in both Nigerian and international political systems has equipped her with structured governance experience.
The aspirant also highlighted her commitment to grassroots development across Ogun State, particularly her efforts to empower youths and small business owners through support such as learning tools, financial assistance, and business empowerment across the three senatorial districts.
Dr. Talabi-Davies expressed strong support for the economic reform policies of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the administration’s efforts are gradually stabilizing Nigeria’s economy and strengthening fiscal performance. She also pledged that her legislative agenda would align with national development priorities while supporting the incoming leadership vision in Ogun State.
“With the right leadership at both national and state levels, we can accelerate development. I remain committed to contributing my experience and working with others to ensure Ogun Central achieves its full potential,” she added.
As Ogun Central moves closer to the 2027 political cycle, Dr. Olamide Talabi-Davies positions herself as a reform-minded aspirant advocating inclusive governance, competent leadership, and developmental transformation. Her message reflects a growing demand for visionary representation capable of driving meaningful progress in the district.
