Nigerian Air Force Strikes Terrorist Strongholds in Sambisa, Neutralises Several Boko Haram Fighters
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), as part of Operation Hadin Kai, has successfully neutralised several Boko Haram terrorists in the Sambisa general area and the Southern Tumbuns in Borno State. The air strikes, which targeted two key terrorist strongholds, also resulted in the destruction of terrorist infrastructure and hideouts.
According to NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the air strikes took place on April 15, with the first strike occurring at approximately 5:30 a.m. in Kollaram, a known insurgent stronghold. Intelligence, supported by surveillance footage, confirmed the presence of high-value terrorist commanders. NAF assets conducted a precision strike on the location, eliminating several fighters and disabling key terrorist infrastructure.
A second precision strike was carried out later at about 3:55 p.m. in Arra, Sambisa. Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance missions had previously detected clusters of terrorists, with real-time visuals confirming the significant presence of the group. Precision-guided munitions were used to effectively destroy terrorist targets and disrupt their operations.
These “back-to-back missions” are part of a sustained air campaign aimed at eroding Boko Haram’s capabilities, dismantling their leadership structures, and eliminating sanctuaries across the country.
