May Day : O’kenny celebrates Nigerian, Ogun Workers, called on govt to better their lot in the interest of National Development
As members of the Nigerian Labour Congress , NLC and other affiliates trade union groups celebrate this year’s Workers Day, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP House of Assembly Candidate for Odeda State Constituency in the last general elections, Hon. Kehinde Odewunmi saluted Nigerian and Ogun state workers for their resilience, dedication and contributions to natio building.
He said this in his workers’ day message through his Media office, He described Nigerian workers as the mainstay of the Nigerian economy.
While calling on government at various levels to support all efforts aimed at ensuring workers are adequately rewarded and well catered for, Hon. O’kenny called on workers to continue to put in their best in any sector they find themselves, stating that their efforts shall never be in vain.
“There can be no economic growth without the contribution of workers and there can be no national development without economic development, “Our workers play crucial roles in all we attain as a nation and that fact needs to be recognised always.”
“On this Workers’ Day celebrations, I salute all Nigerian workers for their sacrifice and resilience in the face of dwindling economic fortunes,” he said.
