There is a heavy presence of security at the Magistrate Court, Isabo, Abeokuta, venue of the Ogun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, as the Tribunal is set to deliver judgment in the petition filed against the State Governor, Dapo Abiodun of the All Progressives Congress, APC by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP abd it’s Candidate, Oladipupo Adebutu.
Scores of security operatives, including policemen, DSS, NSCDC, and Amotekun corps took over the court as early as 6 a.m., blocking the roads inward and outward the court.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and it’s candidate, Ladi Adebutu, are challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s governorship candidate, Dapo Abiodun in the March 18 governorship elections in Ogun State.
