FORMER GOVERNORS FORUM IN NIGERIA MOURNS THE EARTHLY EXIT OF A REVERED STATESMAN, DR VICTOR OMOLOLU OLUNLOYO
Forum of Former Governors in Nigeria received with gratitude to God, for a life well spent, the earthly exit of an elder statesman Dr. Victor Omololu Olunloyo. He was a former governor of old Oyo state. A respected political leader and technocrat, he was born in 1935 and lived through many eventful periods of the twentieth century. Avuncular and cerebral, his experience and acknowledged eyewitness of epochal events, spanning decades; marked him out as one of the most revered and reliable authority on modern Nigeria history.
Insightful, brilliant and intellectual, he was a child prodigy,
renowned for his exceptional ability in applied mathematics. A first class graduate in mathematics, he came out top in his mathematics classes. His, was not without antecedent; an offshoot and a descendant of the renowned Olunloyo family of Ibadan.
In all his engagements as a public officer and a senior citizen, he did his best in fostering inter group relations, unity and peace in Nigeria.
Former Governors Forum condole with the family, people of Oyo state on the passing of an amiable and respected elder statesman.
