A foremost University in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, ECOTES-BENIN “Univeraite De La Grace”, has conferred a Doctor Honorraris Causa award on renowned philanthropist and business mogul, Adesina Abolade.
ECOTES-BENIN “Universite De La Grace” is an approved and accredited bilingual Degree awarding institution in Cotonou, Republic of Benin and fully recognised by the Federal Ministry of Education, Nigeria.
According to the University, the choice of Abolade, the Chairman of ENICOSIN Group of companies, was premised on his selfless service to humanity and his outstanding leadership qualities.
Abolade, a successful businessman and a renowned philanthropist is passionate about helping the less privileged and providing quality leadership to the youths.
Abolade, through his various philanthropic gestures has empowered thousands of indigent people, especially women and youths, lifting them out of poverty and helping them achieve their dreams.
Little wonder why Abolade has warmed his way into the hearts of many people, especially the less privileged.
These, according to the university are some of the qualities that earned Abolade the award.
Abolade who is not only an outstanding businessman, but also one of Nigeria’s best brains was awarded a Doctor Honorraris Causa of the prestigious institution at the convocation of the University.
The University in a letter addressed to Sarkin Arewa Students, West Africa, His Royal Highness, Jodah Makinta to announce Abolade’s nomination, indicated that Abolade was found worthy both in character and service.
The letter, signed by the University’s Registrar, Uriel Agbedja and dated Sunday, June 28, noted that Abolade was nominated for the award following a unanimous decision by the management and the Governing Council of the University.
The letter reads in part, “The Governing Council and management of ECOTES-BENIN “Univeraite De La Grace”, Cotonou, Benin Republic confer on you, the award of Doctor Honorraris Causa.
“We recognise your overt, credible and exemplary leadership role among your people and which in turn made them to repose their trust in you to represent them at an exalted position.
“Managing people is a herculean and daunting task which requires humility, wisdom, commitment, selflessness, sacrifice and passion to be able to achieve positive and sustainable development for those leadership are being provided for.
“Based on these distinguishing features and your achievements, you qualify for this honour and the country has decided to notify you on nomination for this special award”, the letter concluded.
