FCT Police Arrest Six Suspected Armed Robbers In Abuja
Police operatives in FCT Abuja have arrested six suspected armed robbers in the Utako village of the metropolis.
The suspects were arrested in an uncompleted hospital building marked as a black spot.
Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, Josephine Adeh, who disclosed this in a statement on Friday, stated that a locally made pistol, two live cartridges, and wraps of substances suspected to be marijuana were recovered from the suspects.
According to the statement, suspects, are identified as Basara Hassan, Daniel Charles, Adamu M Oshiaka, Chancy Asidi, and Saliu Al Hassan. While further investigation led to the arrest of Yusuf Iliyasu, alias Tablet, an ex-convict and syndicate leader.
“While an investigation is ongoing, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh psc, mni, wishes to assure residents of his unwavering commitment to make Abuja a hell for criminals and to ensure the safety of all,” the statement added.
