Children’s Day: We must have collective resolve in preserving, protect rights of Nigerian Children – Tola Banjo

Government at all levels have been encouraged to renew their commitment to the protection of children’s rights and evaluate the extent to which their policies has treated their welfare as priority.

Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo stated this in a message to congratulate Nigerian Children on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day celebration.

In the message, the Ogun Prominent Politician urged those in authority across the country to recognise the critical importance of issues that affects the well-being, happiness and growth of the Nigerian child and to give them priority in their plans and actions.

While appealing to states that have not domesticated the Child’s Rights Act 2003 to do so in the best interest of the Nigerian Child, he promised to do all within his power to continue to protect and promote their right as future leaders even as a private citizen.

“I also want to use the opportunity to celebrate our future leaders as they celebrate this day ”

“Let us all remain ever conscious of our duty to bring up our children with the right orientation and to bequeathe to them a peaceful and prosperous society,” Hon. Banjo said.
