AYEDATIWA: THE DIPLOMATIC LEADER WITH A LARGE HEART WHO IS REBUILDING ONDO STATE WITH WISDOM AND CALM STRENGTH
Another name was added today to the long list of praises sung for Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa — the Governor of the People. At the colourful inauguration ceremony of newly appointed Senior Special Advisers drawn from the four corners of Ondo State, the atmosphere at Cocoa House was electrifying. What was meant to be a formal government event soon transformed into a festival of unity, hope and overwhelming admiration for the man steering the ship of the Sunshine State.
Thousands of residents — artisans, students, civil servants, political leaders and community elders — thronged the venue to celebrate both the Governor and the new appointees. The crowd size alone was enough proof that Governor Ayedatiwa has become a symbol of stability and renewed confidence for the people.
One man in the audience, a civil servant who chose to remain anonymous, captured the mood perfectly:
> “This Governor is a blessing to Ondo State. His leadership skills are not only unique but refreshing. His vision and policies will surely build a greater tomorrow for our dear state. He is prepared, he understands governance deeply, and most importantly, he listens.”
Indeed, Governor Aiyedatiwa has earned a reputation as a diplomatic leader with a large heart — a man who prefers inclusion to division, dialogue to conflict, and service to self-interest. His ability to calm tensions, unify diverse political tendencies and manage the state with maturity is what residents widely describe as his leadership acumen.
The latest appointments, drawn fairly from across the state, have further eased political tension and reassured citizens that his administration values equity and competence. It is this style — calm, strategic and people-centered — that continues to endear him to the masses.
During the event, one of his excited supporters shouted a nickname that sent waves of laughter and admiration across the hall:
> “Irumole to n je ekuru!”
A playful Yoruba praise-name describing a powerful spirit who eats ekuru — the symbolic local delicacy made from beans. It was the people’s way of saying Governor Ayedatiwa is not only strong but extraordinary — a leader sent to bring nourishment, unity and progress.
With every passing day, the Governor proves that he is a prepared politician who knows the onion, understands the people, and has the humility to listen. Many citizens left the event convinced that by the end of his tenure, Ondo State will not just be better — it will be a million times greater than it is today.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa stands tall: a bridge-builder, a visionary, a diplomat, and a leader whose heart is large enough to accommodate every son and daughter of Ondo State.
