Court Orders EFCC to Produce Abuja Estate Developer in Alleged N500 Million Land Fraud Case
A Federal High Court has directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to produce an Abuja-based estate developer in court in connection with an alleged N500 million land fraud case, as legal proceedings continue over the high-profile property dispute.
The court issued the order during the hearing of the matter after concerns were raised regarding the defendant’s absence. The judge directed the anti-graft agency to ensure the estate developer is produced at the next sitting to enable the case to proceed without unnecessary delays.
The defendant is facing allegations of involvement in a purported N500 million land fraud scheme. Prosecutors allege that the transaction involved fraudulent dealings over property, while the defendant is expected to respond to the charges in accordance with the judicial process.
