Ondo Governor Aiyedatiwa Mourns Former Women Affairs Commissioner Olasimi Akindele-Odunmbaku

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has expressed profound grief over the death of former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Olasimi Akindele-Odunmbaku, describing her as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to the development of women and children in the state will never be forgotten.
In a condolence message, Governor Aiyedatiwa said the late former commissioner served Ondo State with passion, integrity, and commitment, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of compassion and service.
The Governor noted that during her tenure as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs. Akindele-Odunmbaku championed policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare of women, promoting gender equality, and protecting the rights of vulnerable children across the state.
He added that her dedication to community development, grassroots empowerment, and social inclusion earned her widespread respect and admiration among colleagues, political associates, and residents of the Sunshine State.
Governor Aiyedatiwa extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, her friends, political associates, and all those affected by the painful loss.
He also sympathized with her husband, Cardinal James Omolaja Odunmbaku, popularly known as Baba Eto, a respected chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), praying that God grants him and the entire family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
The Governor prayed for the peaceful repose of Mrs. Akindele-Odunmbaku’s soul and asked God to comfort everyone mourning her passing.
The late Mrs. Olasimi Akindele-Odunmbaku is remembered for her unwavering commitment to public service and her impactful contributions to the advancement of women, children, and vulnerable groups in Ondo State.
