Court Fixes June 9 for Decision on Blessing CEO’s Bail Request in Alleged N36 Million Fraud Case
A Federal High Court has reserved ruling on the bail application filed by popular relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, who is facing trial over allegations of a N36 million fraud.
The court adjourned the matter until June 9, when it is expected to deliver its decision on whether the defendant should be granted bail pending the continuation of legal proceedings.
Blessing CEO was arraigned on charges bordering on alleged fraudulent activities involving a sum of N36 million. Prosecuting authorities accused her of conduct that allegedly contravenes relevant provisions of Nigeria’s criminal laws.
During the court session, legal representatives for the defendant urged the court to grant bail, arguing that she remains innocent until proven guilty and is prepared to comply with any conditions the court may impose.
The prosecution, however, presented arguments opposing the request, insisting that the court should carefully consider the nature of the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the case before making a determination.
After listening to submissions from both parties, the presiding judge announced that a ruling on the bail application would be delivered on June 9, while the substantive case continues through the judicial process.
The case has attracted significant public attention due to Blessing CEO’s prominence on social media and her influence in relationship and lifestyle discussions across Nigeria.
Legal analysts note that the upcoming ruling will determine whether the defendant remains in custody or regains temporary freedom while standing trial. Regardless of the outcome, the case is expected to continue in accordance with due process and the principles of fair hearing.
As the legal proceedings unfold, observers are closely monitoring developments in one of the most talked-about celebrity-related court cases in recent months.
