Former Ondo Lawmaker Donates N20m, Declares Fresh Political Ambition for 2027
A former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Gbenga Omole, has donated N20 million to support women and youth groups in Oka, the headquarters of Akoko South-West Local Government Area.
The donation was announced during the unveiling of a renovated community town hall, where the ex-lawmaker said the gesture was aimed at easing economic hardship and promoting grassroots development.
Omole, who represented Akoko South West Constituency 1 between 2019 and 2023, also used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to community service and development.
He further declared his intention to contest in the 2027 House of Assembly election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
The former lawmaker pledged to prioritise youth empowerment, women’s development, and infrastructural projects if elected, stressing the need for sustained engagement with community leaders to address pressing local challenges.
He also expressed optimism that improved support and funding for constituency projects would enhance grassroots impact and legislative performance
