144H Ramadan : Tola Banjo encourages Muslims to pray for the Nation


Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly and House of Representatives Aspirant, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo has encouraged Muslim faithful to use the Ramadan fasting period to pray for Nigeria, so that the country can once again enjoy peace, as only in an atmosphere of peace that the nation can witness meaningful growth and sustainable development.
In a statement signed by the ex-lawmaker to congratulate Muslim Ummah in Ogun and the Nation at large on the commencement of the year 2022 Ramadan fast, he described Ramadan as “the best of all months in the Islamic calendar”, noting that Ramadan fast being one of the five pillars of Islam that Muslims must strictly adhere to in line with the injunction of the Almighty Allah and Holy Prophet Muhammad.
He enjoined Muslims to pray fervently against all obstacles standing in the way of Nigeria to attain her greatness in the comity of Nations.
Rt. Hon Tola Banjo emphasised that in tackling the myriad of challenges facing the country, particularly insecurity, Nigerians need to seek intervention from all spheres and ensure that they do all things possible to restore peace and bring back the humanity Nigeria is known for.
“Muslims needs to avail themselves of the training and serenity that Ramadan affords to cleanse their hearts, enrich their souls with virtues, and dedicate themselves to the good of humanity and the development of the nation”.
“We all must be grateful to Allah for being alive to witness another Ramadan season. I urge my Muslim brothers and sisters to use the opportunity of the Ramadan period to pray and seek the face of Allah for peace, progress and continue development of our dear Nigeria”.
“I equally commiserates with the families who lost their loved ones in the unfortunate incident of Kaduna bound train attack on Monday March 28, may Allah repose their souls and grant their families the fortitude to bear the loses and as well for peace to return to our dear country as we have no other place to call home”.
“May Allah accept all our supplications and deeds during the Holy Month as acts of Ibadah”, He said.
