2023: TOLA BANJO, THE POLITICAL BRIDE OF OGUN EAST – Adebowale Muhammed


Call him the most-sought after political bride of Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency in Ogun State, you may just be right.
This view is reinforced by the factor that at a time of massive political alignment and re-alignment ahead of the 2023 elections, the former Deputy Speaker, Ogun state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo, is emerging as a rallying point of sorts.
If the roll call of political heavyweights and gladiators who have been clamouring for him to contest for a seat at the green chamber of the National Assembly in the forthcoming elections was anything to go by, this assertion gains traction.
Most of his people in Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East Federal Constituency were of the opinion that the has been under bondage since the 2019 elections and sees 2023 as a year of liberation for them and Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo they all agreed is the right man to take them to the promised land through qualitative and effective representation from the National Assembly.
First elected on the platform of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN as member representing Ijebu-Ode State state Constituency at the Oke Mosan legislative building in 2011 which culminated into him becoming the number two anchorman in the legislative year and was later appointed Special Adviser to the then governor and his political mentor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun in 2019 under the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Tola Banjo has been in the fore front of emancipation and development of his people in Ogun East and Ogun State in general.
A genuine apostle of good governance, humane, dynamic, religious and compassionate about the welfare of his people.
Undoubtedly, even out of elective office, he keeps demonstrating those mentioned attributes on several occasions.
Hon. Idris Tola banjo that left elective office years ago still remain the hope of the people. He has not stopped facilitating lifelong career jobs for graduates, empowerment skills for the people and bringing developmental projects to his constituency and Ogun State at large.
In the last one year, he continues to shine where other fails.
As a result of his impressive performance in previous assignments, which has made him the cynosure of all eyes, his constituents are now calling for him to representing them at the green chamber of the national assembly in order to liberate them from the mis-representation plaguing their constituency.
