2023: Tola Banjo picks Nomination, Expression of Interest Forms, to represent Ogun East at the green chamber of NASS
A former Deputy Speaker, Ogun state House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Tola Banjo has picked his expression of interest and nomination forms under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC for Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North-East Federal constituency seat.
The ex-lawmaker, while picking the forms at the party’s Secretariat in Abuja, said his campaign and eventual mandate will be hinged on the cardinal areas of development carried out by his leader and political mentor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
He said his aspiration is born out of deep responsibility to the people, which is also encouraged by the populist political ideology of the APC Presidential aspirant.
Hon. Banjo promised that if given the mandate he is ready to preserve the ideology of the populist government of the APC founding fathers, by putting premium on the people’s welfare while he represents the interest of his constituency at the National Assembly.
He registered his appreciation to party leaders and the entire members of the APC in Ogun East adding that “this movement has been the people’s drive from day one and its success is entirely their story.”
“I am calling on our party Faithful’s not to sell their votes because the time to make things right is now.
“My antecedents are visible to everyone and I am assuring the people of my Constituency of good representation and rapid development that cut across all gender, ages and sector of the Ogun East economy” he said.
The APC stalwart also promised to seek partnerships with both foreign and local organisations to aid speedy growth of his constituency.
” Priority attention shall be given to women empowerment, youth development, strong educational development, good medicare and quality legislation that will strengthen the security of lives and properties in Ijebu-Ode, Odogbolu and Ijebu North-East”.
He noted that as a responsible representative, he will always be at the beck and call of his people, adding that he will put an end to the era of constituents not gaining access to their representatives.
The House of Representatives hopeful who is known for his humane disposition to the less privileged, also promised that his Federal Constituency will become the envy of other constituencies if given the opportunity to represent them at the Green Chambers.
