I’ll prioritize adequate inclusion of youths in governance if elected APC National Youth Leader – Rinsola Abiola


As the race to the All Progressives Congress, (APC) National Convention continues to gather momentum, the National Youth Leader Aspirant, Ms Kareemat Rinsola Abiola has once again reiterated her commitment towards securing the youths votes by further promoting the party’s among the Nigerian youth populace, if elected.
In a Statement personally signed by the ex-media aide to the Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara noted that the decision to run for office was premised on months of broad consultations with stakeholders and leaders across the, particularly her homestead, Ogun State.
While acknowledging the overwhelming support she received from all and sundry, the gender equity advocate said it is in furtherance of her primary political motive as a credible voice for women and youths inclusion in politics to secure the equitable representation of young people and women in key decision of governance.
” This is a cause I have devoted my life and resources to for over a decade now, with the establishment and advancement of several movements and organizations to improve the lot of young people and women, as well as increase the opportunities available to them in politics and everyday life”.
” If elected as APC National Youth Leader, my priorities will include to provide the required level of support to young aspirants/candidates in their quests to occupy elective positions, work to secure enhanced representation for young people in decision making structures across board and ensure that the interests of young people are adequately protected in policy design and lawmaking process at all tiers of government”.
While noting that the goal and strategic imperative of her campaign lies solely on engagement of delegates and stakeholders in conversation centered on these aforementioned issues and her plans to help burnish the party’s progressives ideals, Ms Rinsola Abiola emphasized on the need for all party members to preserve the shared ties as progressives to make inevitable process of closing ranks and serving out a mandate seamless and successful.
She therefore called on all well meaning members of the rulling party to join in the quest to make history, as women across the globe echo the call to break the bias, noting that it is the right time for Nigerian women to rally and secure equitable representation in politics and by extension, governance.
