Court Arraigns Suspects Over 2023 Killing of Four Military Personnel
Security operatives have arraigned two suspects in connection with the murder of four military personnel killed during a violent incident in Delta State in 2023.
The suspects were arrested after months of intelligence-led investigations that tracked their alleged involvement in the attack, which occurred while the soldiers were on a peace mission in a riverine community affected by inter-communal clashes. The assailants reportedly ambushed the troops, leading to the death of all four personnel, while their service weapons were carted away.
Investigations revealed that the suspects had been on the radar of security agencies for some time, with actionable intelligence eventually leading to their capture earlier in 2026. During interrogation, they were said to have provided useful information linking them to the deadly attack and other criminal activities in the area.
