Tola Banjo congratulates Tinubu, salutes patriotic acts of Amosun, others


A former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tola Idris Banjo has joined well meaning Nigerians to congratulate and felicitate with the National leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his emergence as the APC Presidential standard bearer.
In a congratulatory message issued through his Media office, the ex-lawmaker described the victory of Asiwaju Tinubu as well deserved, adding that he has paid the price and he deserved to be the next President of Nigeria.
Hon. Tola Banjo acknowledged that the APC presidential candidate has contributed immensely to the growth of the nation and has empowered a lot of people through his political clout, tenacity and doggedness across the six geo political zones of the country.
” sir, I have no doubt in my mind that your emergence as the standard bearer of our great party will be the harbinger of the return to politics of decorum, without bitterness as well as the beginning of the arduous task of finding a better strategy that will enhance the needed national unity, peaceful coexistence and cohesion in our dear country, a prerequisite for genuine nation-building” he said.
He thereafter eulogized the good virtues exemplified by actors of democracy such former governor of Ogun state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and others who saw the vision of better Nigeria and sowed the seed of sustainable growth through their patriotic decision at the Primaries.
He affirmed that history will not forget great men and women of the party who contributed to Asiwaju success as the Nation goes into the 2023 general elections.
