As Muslims across Nigeria commemorate Eid al-Adha, Hon. (Princess) Olawumi Fayemi-Obayelu, the lawmaker representing Ilaje Constituency II in the Ondo State House of Assembly, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim faithful in her constituency, Ondo State, and the nation at large.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmaker prayed that the sacred season of sacrifice would usher in peace, joy, and divine blessings for families across the country. She expressed hope that all acts of worship and sacrifices (Qurbani) offered during the holy period would be accepted by Allah.
Fayemi-Obayelu used the occasion to call for continued unity and spiritual reflection among Nigerians, describing Eid al-Adha as a period that embodies the virtues of obedience, faith, and selflessness.
“As we mark this important celebration, I urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue upholding the values of compassion, unity, and peace,” she said.
The lawmaker reaffirmed her commitment to quality representation and community development, adding that her party, the APC, remains focused on building a progressive society anchored on service and inclusivity.
She concluded her message with a heartfelt Eid greeting, saying, “Eid Mubarak! May this season of sacrifice renew our hope and strengthen our collective resolve for a better Nigeria.”
The statement was signed by Lemadoro Felix Ife, her Senior Legislative Aide.
