The Member representing Ilaje Constituency II in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon. (Princess) Olawumi Annah Fayemi-Obayelu, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed board members of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), commending the state government for its timely appointments.
In a statement signed by her Senior Legislative Aide, Lemadoro Felix Ife, the lawmaker specially celebrated the appointment of Prince Biyi Olaleye Poroye as the Executive Chairman of OSOPADEC, describing him as “a tested leader whose emergence reflects a deep trust in his capacity to deliver.”
“I especially recognize and celebrate my uncle and leader, Prince Biyi Olaleye Poroye, on his appointment as the Executive Chairman of OSOPADEC. Your emergence at the helm of this crucial commission is a testament to your leadership capacity, commitment to service, and the trust reposed in you by His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the Governor of Ondo State,” the statement read.
Hon. Fayemi-Obayelu used Prince Poroye’s appointment as a point of contact to congratulate all other Executive and Non-Executive board members of OSOPADEC, urging them to carry out their duties with integrity and a sense of responsibility.
She emphasized that the appointments came at a time when the commission’s mandate—to drive development in oil-producing communities—has become even more urgent and critical.
“The expectations of our people are high. I encourage you all to discharge your duties with inclusiveness and unwavering dedication to the welfare of the communities you serve,” she added.
The lawmaker wished the new board members a successful tenure and reaffirmed her support for their efforts to bring meaningful development to the riverine and oil-rich areas of Ondo State.
