Maolud Nabiyy : PDP Chieftain, Tola Banjo greets Muslims, calls for religious harmony as panacea to social development

Former Deputy Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly and Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Rt. Hon. Tola Idris Banjo has greeted Nigerian Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Maulud Nabiyy celebration.

The Ogun Ex-lawmaker in a statement signed by his Media Office called on the Muslim ummah across the country to take a cue from  the exemplary leadership of the prophet, in tolerance, generosity, humility and modesity.

He called on Muslims to emulate the virtuous life of Prophet Mohammad as they celebrate Maulud-Nabiy.

Hon. Banjo urged Muslims to rededicate themselves to the virtues of peace and to continue to make meaningful contributions to the development of the country.

He also encouraged Nigerians to continue to shun acts that will promote division among adherents of different religions, as all religions preach love, peace and good neighbourliness,” the statement added.
