Gunmen kidnap NTA staff in Ogun
A staff of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) , Abiodun Adenuga has been abducted by gunmen in his Aiyepe residence in Odogbolu local government area of Ogun.
A sources in the family, said Adenuga was abducted around 10pm on Tuesday at his residence when the gunmen held him at gunpoint and whisked him away.
He was said to have returned from his NTA Ijebu Ode office, after retiring to his Aiyepe hometown where he usually come to work in Ijebu Ode, a distance of about 30 minutes drive.
According to the sources, the abductors had demanded a ransom of N15 million before they would release Adenuga.
He stated that the abductors had opened negotiations with the members of the family and had refused to reduce the ransom.
Abimbola Oyeyemi, the Spokesman of the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed that someone was actually kidnapped in that area.
Oyeyemi noted that the police were doing all the needful to ensure that the person was rescued .
