‘Gov Abiodun should help us end 17yrs of darkness in Orile-Oko’

The Adele Oloko of Orile-Oko kingdom, Remo North, area of Ogun State, Olakunle Olalekan Joseph has called on the state governor, prince Dapo Abiodun to come to their aid in ending seventeen years of darkness in the community.
He lamented that the community has been in darkness for over seventeen years without any government’s interventions.
The Adele Oloko also appealed to the state government to provide them with transformer in order to electrify their community.
Mr Joseph disclosed this during the constituency tracing by the officials of the Independent Corrupt Practices And Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), in the community.
The team under the leadership of Lagos State Commissioner of ICPC, Shintema Binga, has been tracking constituency projects, most of which are abandoned, across the state.
He however told journalists that Senator Buruji Kashamu has failed and maltreated the community by not supplying them transformer during his term in office.
He said, ”We had information through company called tracker that the supply and installation of 500 KVA Transformer at Orile-oko in Remo North local Government Ogun East Senatorial district Ogun State by Senator Buruji. Nothing of such in Orile-oko, that is why I wrote a petition to ICPC.
”We have called the PA to Senator Buruji, also the so called their engineer. Nothing come of it, that is why I wrote a petition to ICPC to come to our aid
”He came to our community during campaign, and he got votes from Orile-Oko, you can ask him. I believed the Almighty God will judge everyone accordingly”
Mr Joseph added that the they lacked Teachers in both primary and secondary schools in the community.
”We have six good primary schools, one secondary school. No enough Teachers. No good Roads, The only Bridge links Orile-oko to major Lagos/Ibrahim Expressway has expired over 5 years ago” He concluded
”During the administration of the former governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba there was light in the community for two years. Another government took over that is Gbenga Daniel, his Government failed to listen to our supplication. We have been in darkness for well over 17 good years, no Government attention at all”
He described governor Dapo Abiodun as a good listener, saying that he believes he will hearken to their supplication.
”During this covid 19, he proved himself especially his wife, a mother to Orile-oko she took care of Orile-oko as a mother. More grease to her excellency bamidele Abiodun, she will never lack in Jesus name.
”I want to call on our amiable governor to please supply and install Orile-oko 500KVA Transformer. We have been in the darkness for 17 years. We are suffering here, no good roads, no good teachers and no bridge.
He therefore submitted that he has tried all his best in grading all bad roads in the community when they couldn’t see any assistance from the state and federal governments.
Meanwhile the media adviser to Senator Buruji Kashamu, Austin Oniyokor while reacting to the report said that Kashamu is neither a contractor nor a member of the executive arm of government who awards contract.
According to him, ”Kashamu served in the Senate for four years between 2015 and 2019 during which he facilitated many pro-people projects. He has served his term and left office. If there is any pro-people project that he facilitated and was not completed or delivered before he left office, the succeeding government or lawmaker should see to its completion; after all, government is said to be a continuum.
”They said they have been in darkness for more than 17 years, how then can they justifiably blame their situation on Senator Kashamu who only served as a lawmaker, not governor, for just four years”
