Olumide Osoba emerged winner, APC House of Reps Primaries, defeat two other aspirants in landslide victory


The incumbent member of the House of representatives, representing Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda Federal constituency and chairman House Committee on Sports, Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba has emerged the All Progressives Congress, APC Standard bearer for the third term in the just concluded party primaries in Ogun state.
Olumide Osoba polled a total of 118 votes to defeat other aspirants.
Other aspirants, including immediate past commissioner for rural development, Taiwo Oludotun garnered 40 votes, Hon. Adegbenga Adeshina, popularly known as Bibire polled 30 votes respectively.
The Nigeria Standard reports that the election was duly supervised by independent National Electoral Commission, INEC officials, National committee of the party as well as security personnel.
Meanwhile it was a celebration galore as Rt. Hon. Olumide Osoba was declared winner of the primary election as people of the three local government areas that makes up of the federal constituency went on celebration mood to acknowledged what they described as another step to unprecedented growth and development of their areas.
