Easter : Ogun Comm. for Culture and Tourism Preaches Peace, Harmonious Relationship among Nigerians
As Nigeria and the rest of the world celebrate Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Ogun State, Hon. Adijat Adeleye, has advised Nigerians, particularly residents of the State to seize the Easter period to strengthen peace and love, while celebrating the rebirth of a renewed hope that will turn around the fortunes of the Nation.
Adeleye in a congratulatory statement to christian community expressed that the nation was in need of increasing love, sacrifice and forgiveness having overcome the fear and anxiety that almost submerged the effective preparation of the just concluded free and credible elections that saw to the emergence of our Progressive President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the re-election of Prince Dapo Abiodun alongside other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC)
According to the statement, “it is hightime we moved forward in the spirit of resurrection to rebuild both our State and nation at large, with the value of peace, love, sacrificial giving and forgiveness amidst ourselves inspite our religious and ethical differences”
Calling for more prayers for government at all levels, the two-term lawmaker expressed confidence that the re-election of Governor Abiodun would bring about an improvement on the socio-economic standard of the State.
