Ogun Govt. Commiserates With Jagunmolu Over Father’s Death


The Ogun state Government has commiserated with the family of The Honourable Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, on the death of his father, Alhaji Mudasiru Omoniyi in his country home in Joga Orile, Yewa North local Government area of the state.
The Deputy Governor, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele who led the state delegation to his residence on behalf of the State Government, explained that the passing of the late patriarch will be felt particularly by his immediate family and the community at large.
While giving the condolence on behalf of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele prayed that Almighty God will grant the soul of the deceased Aljana fidaus and the family the fortitude to bare the loss.
The deputy Governor also used the opportunity to sensitise the family and community on the need to be health and safety conscious, saying that the coronavirus was real and everyone must embrace all precautionary measures against it.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, admonished the children of late Alhaji Omoniyi to remain steadfast and uphold the good legacies of their father, reminding them that death was the inevitable end of all things.
In his remarks, Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Jamiu Omoniyi, son of the deceased, said his father has lived a very good life worthy of emulation.
He described his late father as a community leader, thorough professional and a politician to the core who took interest in building people and the community.
Appreciating the government of Ogun State for the love, son of the deceased Mr Ahmed Omoniyi, said no words can convey their gratitude for the support given to them since the passing of their patriach, he prayed Almighty God to be kind and merciful to the Governor and good people of Ogun State.
In company of the Deputy Governor were the Chief of staff to the Governor, Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, some state Commissioners and Special Advisers.
Meanwhile the Deputy Governor also led the delegation on a courtesy visit to the palace of Abepa of Joga Orile, Oba (Dr) Adeyemi Olarewaju Adekeye in Joga Orile.
In his response, Oba (Dr) Adeyemi Olarewaju Adekeye, appreciated the government delegation for paying the family of his late uncle a condolence visit, saying for the Deputy Governor to lead the delegation, it shows that the present administration takes the interest of the masses at heart, he used the opportunity to call the attention of the state government to the deplorable state of Ibara Orile road.
