Goodness and Mercy Care Hub Launches Free Health Outreach Across Nigeria
Goodness and Mercy Care Hub, founded by Community Health Practitioner Adebisi Victoria Kehinde, has launched a new community health outreach programme aimed at tackling preventable diseases and improving access to basic healthcare services in underserved communities across Nigeria.
The initiative is designed to promote preventive healthcare through free health screenings, health education, maternal and child health support, as well as the distribution of essential health supplies to individuals and families with limited access to healthcare.
According to the organisation, the programme will place particular emphasis on improving health literacy and encouraging early detection of common health conditions before they develop into more serious complications.
Founder of Goodness and Mercy Care Hub, Adebisi Victoria Kehinde, said the initiative was driven by the need to make prevention and basic healthcare information more accessible at the grassroots.
“Our mission is simple: prevention first,” Kehinde said. “When communities have the right information and access to basic care, we can save lives and reduce the pressure on our hospitals.”
The organisation plans to work closely with community leaders, local stakeholders and health volunteers to identify and reach vulnerable families, particularly those living in areas where access to healthcare facilities and preventive services remains limited.
Beyond providing screenings and essential supplies, the outreach programme will educate residents on healthy living, disease prevention, maternal and child wellbeing, and the importance of seeking medical attention early when symptoms emerge.
Goodness and Mercy Care Hub is also collaborating with Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede to strengthen public awareness and advocacy around community health and wellness.
The collaboration is expected to help take the message of preventive healthcare to a wider audience while drawing greater attention to the health challenges confronting underserved communities.
Through the new initiative, Goodness and Mercy Care Hub hopes to bridge some of the gaps between vulnerable communities and essential healthcare services by taking basic interventions directly to the people.
The organisation said its long-term objective is to build healthier communities through sustained education, early detection and strategic partnerships that make preventive healthcare more accessible.
