APC Nationwide Victory 2026: Orelope-Adefulire Hails Oyebanji, Other Winners After Electoral Sweep

Former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, has congratulated the All Progressives Congress (APC) on its impressive performance in the June 20, 2026 off-cycle governorship and parliamentary by-elections, describing the outcome as a clear endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement issued in her capacity as South West Director General of the PBAT Independent Campaign Group (PBAT ICG), Orelope-Adefulire said the victories recorded by APC candidates across several states demonstrate growing public confidence in the ruling party’s leadership, policies, and commitment to national development.
She noted that the peaceful conduct of the elections and the overwhelming support received by APC candidates reflect the trust Nigerians continue to place in the party and its vision for economic growth, security, infrastructure development, and social progress.
The presidential aide particularly celebrated the re-election of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in Ekiti State, describing his victory as a validation of purposeful leadership, prudent management of resources, and people-oriented governance.
According to her, the Ekiti governorship election has become a model of issue-based campaigning, political maturity, and democratic participation, offering valuable lessons for future elections across the country.
Orelope-Adefulire also commended APC candidates who emerged victorious in other key contests, including the Enugu North Senatorial District, Ondo South Senatorial District, Kano’s Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency, and the Zuru State Constituency election in Kebbi State.
She stated that the victories underscore the APC’s expanding national appeal and strong grassroots structures, particularly in areas where the party has continued to consolidate support through effective engagement with voters and responsive governance.
“The message from these elections is clear: unity, discipline, and service-driven leadership deliver electoral success. The APC must continue to build on these values while remaining focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to Nigerians,” she said.
The former Lagos Deputy Governor emphasized the need for party members at all levels to remain united and committed to the collective goal of strengthening the APC ahead of future electoral contests.
She further urged elected representatives and political office holders to justify the confidence reposed in them by prioritizing development initiatives, improving public welfare, and supporting policies that enhance the quality of life of citizens.
Expressing appreciation to party leaders, youth groups, women leaders, grassroots mobilizers, and supporters nationwide, Orelope-Adefulire credited their dedication and hard work for the party’s impressive electoral performance.
She assured APC faithful that the PBAT Independent Campaign Group would continue its grassroots mobilization efforts across the South-West and beyond, with a focus on promoting the achievements of the Tinubu administration and sustaining the momentum generated by the recent victories.
Orelope-Adefulire congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji and all APC candidates who emerged victorious in the elections, describing their success as a significant milestone in the party’s journey toward strengthening democratic governance and national development.
She reaffirmed her confidence that with continued unity and commitment, the APC would remain well-positioned to deliver more progress and prosperity for Nigerians.
