Quranic Recitation: Morkazul Dawatul Islamiyyah Arabic graduates four students.

Roheem Oyewole, Roqeeb Sanni, others graduates amidst pomp, pageantry

Efforts by Morkazul Dawatul Islamiyyah Arabic and Islamic Study Centre to ensure the preservation of the Holy Qur’an through memorization by young boys and girls within the age bracket of nine to 13 years are yielding result with the recent graduation of 4 students who have successfully completed the holy Qur’an.

The Walimatul Qur’an which took place at the Arabic School study centre located at Aseyori street, Sabo Agbo Eran, Abeokuta, Ogun State had in attendance clerics across the metropolis and beyond, Muslim umah of various Islamic groups and societies, Arabic Students,Parents and guidance who came to appreciate the importance of the glorious Quran.

The graduands of the Madrassatul -Qur’an having undergone series of Arabic learning had committed the Qur’an into memory.

Among the graduating students are 13 years old Abdul-Roheem Oyewole, Abdul-Roqeeb Sanni, Soliu Opeyemi Soliu and Abdul-Mojeed Taiwo.

Speaking at the event, Sheikh Muhammadu Jamiu Oluwanisola appealed to the graduands to maintain the memorisation of the Holy Qur’an by reciting a part of it every day.

He added that “By doing so, they won’t forget what they have learnt at the Arabic school. The best way to achieve this is to impart the knowledge of the Holy Qur’an to the younger ones and they would be blessed in return.”

Speaking further, he said, “Muslims should be in the best position to change positively, the behaviours of everyone through the display of good virtues of the Holy Qur’an after its completion and memorisation.”

He advised the parents of the graduands to ensure that their children recite a part of the Qur’an in their presence every day.

Also, the Host, Sheikh Imam Ibrahim Soliu, Olohun Lambe acknowledged the role played by Alhaji Surajudeen Oyewole who also doubled as father of one of the graduands as the brain behind the success of the Qur’anic School.

While addressing the graduating students, he said, “As from today, you are starting another phase in life . Therefore, if you are guided and guarded well, there is nothing you cannot achieve .”

In his own address, Alhaji Surajudeen Oyewole urged the graduating students to transfer their knowledge of the Qur’an to their children when they start procreating. He also pointed that they should be obedient, respectful and dutiful to Allah.

To the Mufazir, Gaosibiyy, Sheikh Amidu Makanjuola Al-Fulaniyy “Qur’an stands out as the only religious book that has continuously enjoy the honour of being memorized through ages since its revelation. The promise of its protection, preservation and memorization is in the Holy Qur ’an itself.

“Surely, we are the one that revealed the exhortation and it is our prerogative to protect it.’ So we have come to honour and celebrate those who share in the blessings and honour of the Holy Qur’a.

“This event is a message to such people that not only do we believe in Qur’an, but we also believe in its preservation”

He also used the opportunity to appreciate those who contributed immensely to the success of the graduation ceremony.

Master Abdul-Roheem Oyewole, one of the graduating student said , “It is only Allah that made it possible for me to finish the Qur’an within that stipulated duration. When I first got admission into the madrasat, I was scared and I asked myself if I would be able to finish reciting the Qur’an.

“Today, I give thanks to the Almighty Allah for giving me the wisdom and understanding to finish the Qur’an recitation quickly. It was very hard at the beginning but very easy at the end. One of the things that made me finish in time was that I was focused and I believed Allah has destined it that way”

The graduands were presented with certificates shortly after reciting the mandatory Suratul Baqoorah to the admiration of all.

The Graduation is the First Haflatul Sha’Adatul Quran of the Modrasat.
