Olamide Davies Talabi, founder of the Olamide Davies Foundation and a prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has described the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari as a profound national loss that signals the end of a defining chapter in Nigeria’s democratic and political evolution.
In a heartfelt condolence message released from Abuja following the news of Buhari’s death, Davies Talabi extolled the late president’s legacy of discipline, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the Nigerian nation.
“Ex-President Muhammadu Buhari’s passing is a deeply felt national loss. He was a leader of immense courage and moral clarity — a man who stood by his convictions and remained a symbol of discipline and patriotism throughout his public life. His impact on the fight against corruption, national unity, and democratic governance will remain indelible,” she stated.

Davies Talabi extended her condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Buhari family, the people of Katsina State, and millions of Nigerians mourning the loss of the elder statesman.
She urged the nation to reflect on Buhari’s enduring values and draw strength from his example of selfless leadership, national service, and unyielding resolve in the face of adversity.
“Let us honour his memory by upholding the ideals he lived for — honesty, nation-building, and unity,” she added.
The former president passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at a clinic in London after a prolonged illness. He will be laid to rest in his hometown of Daura, Katsina State, in accordance with Islamic traditions.
