Ogun Governor Appoints Nigeria Rugby Football Federation COO, Tunde Delu Senior Special Assistant

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Nigeria Rugby Federation, Mr. Tunde Delu as a Senior Special Assistant (SSA).
Tunde Delu, a former banker and well-known sports administrator, has contributed to various national sporting efforts, including serving on committees such as the Local Organising Committee of the recently concluded National Sports Festival, where he chaired the Catering Subcommittee, successfully providing three square meals daily to over 10,000 athletes and officials from across Nigeria’s 36 states and the FCT.
In what can be described as a case of “one good turn deserving another,” he has once again been entrusted with the same responsibility as Chairman of the Catering Subcommittee for the upcoming Confederation of African Athletics 3rd Combined U-18/U-20 Junior Athletics Championships scheduled to hold in Abeokuta in 2025.
He is also the brain behind the inaugural Tunde Delu Abeokuta Rugby Cup, a grassroots initiative aimed at promoting rugby in Ogun State and beyond.
Tunde Delu brings over two decades of corporate experience in banking and consulting — spanning institutions such as Polaris Bank, EcoBank, UBA, Tamidia Limited, and others.
His specialties include sales, marketing, and public sector finance management.
With his combined expertise in sports administration, banking, organisational development, and philanthropy, Tunde Delu is poised to make meaningful contributions to the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration and the continued development of Ogun State.
