The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has picked Prince Madandola Olamilekan Bashir (MOB) as its candidate for the Isin State Constituency seat in the Kwara State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Madandola, a former Special Adviser to the Kwara State Government and prominent PDP chieftain from Ijara-Isin, emerged as the party’s flag bearer as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the next election cycle.
His emergence is expected to further intensify the political contest in Isin Local Government Area, with political parties positioning their candidates and strengthening their grassroots structures ahead of the polls.
Known within political circles by the initials MOB, Madandola brings previous government experience and years of involvement in party politics to the race.
The PDP will be hoping to leverage his political network, grassroots connections and familiarity with the constituency as it seeks to strengthen its representation in the Kwara State House of Assembly.
Following his emergence, attention is expected to shift to how the party will unite its members and mobilise voters across the communities that make up Isin State Constituency.
The 2027 contest is also expected to provide Madandola with an opportunity to present his legislative agenda and explain how he intends to address issues affecting residents of the constituency if elected.
Further details surrounding his emergence and the PDP’s preparations for the Isin State Constituency election are expected to be made public in the coming days.
