In celebration of its 35th anniversary, Kresta Laurel Limited (KLL), a distinguished electro-mechanical engineering firm in Nigeria launched a dynamic leadership and safety skills development program for students from three notable tertiary institutions in Lagos State. This initiative is part of KLL’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts aimed at nurturing the future of Nigeria’s engineering talent.
On Thursday 15th of May, Students from the University of Lagos, Lagos State University of Science and Technology, and Lagos State University attended an engaging training session at Kresta Laurel’s corporate headquarters in Maryland, Lagos. The program was designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry applications, ensuring that these young aspiring engineers are well-equipped to tackle real-world challenges.
Engr. Dideolu Falobi, FNSE, Managing Director of Kresta Laurel, expressed pride in the company’s legacy of knowledge development over the past 35 years, describing the initiative as a testament to their dedication to fostering young engineering talent with practical skills essential for industry success.
The program featured comprehensive sessions, including a historical overview of Kresta Laurel presented by Engr. Falobi. Mr. Kehinde Sogunle, the former Commissioner for Finance in Ogun State, enlightened the students with insights on leadership. Moreover, Mr. Sunkanmi Adegorite, Executive Director of Sales, educated the attendees on fire safety and prevention, complemented by Habib Lukman, the company’s HSE Officer, who shared best practices in health, safety, and environmental management within the engineering field.
Participants remarked on the program’s valuable insights into applied engineering scenarios and the opportunity to connect with industry professionals who offered mentorship and career guidance.
